FRC Trifecta / Sandy River Canoe Race / Two-Wheel Grind / Beaver Dash 5k

The FRC 30th Anniversary Tri-fecta, presented by Franklin Savings Bank, is taking place on Saturday, April 30. The Tri-fecta consists of 3 races; the Sandy River Canoe/Kayak race, Two-Wheel Grind race, and the Beaver Dash 5k road race. Participants can compete in one, two, or all three races for the Tri-fecta!

Tri-fecta
Time: 9:00am start; check-in at 8:30am
Location: American Legion ball fields at the intersection of ME-4 and ME-145 in Strong

The Tri-fecta combines three races into a quasi-triathlon. Unlike a standard triathlon, the Tri-fecta races will be spaced out and distinct, so there will be no “transition” period at the races. Races are staggered to allow for Tri-fecta participants to be able to get from the end of one race to the start of the next in plenty of time.

Saturday, April 30, 2022 at the American Legion ball fields at the intersection of ME-4 and ME-145 in Strong

  • Tri-fecta and Canoe/Kayak Race: Check in at 8:30 a.m. with a start at 9:00 a.m. Located at the American Legion ball fields at the intersection of ME-4 and ME-145 in Strong. 10-mile race is flat water with some Class I and II whitewater. Finish at the Little League ballfield in Fairbanks on ME-4. Rental canoes and kayaks are available.
  • Two-Wheel Grind: Check in at 11:00 a.m. with a start at 11:30 a.m. Located at the Fitness and Recreation Center. This is a 10-mile race on road, dirt path, and trails.
  • Beaver Dash 5K: Check in at 12:30 p.m. with a start at 1:00 p.m. Located at the Fitness and Recreation Center. Hilly 5k road race through campus and neighborhoods.

    * Single Tri-fecta is when one of the people in a 1- or 2-person craft is competing in all 3 events. Double Tri-fecta is when both people in a craft are competing in all 3 events. Entry fee for the double Tri-fecta covers both people for all 3 events.

    Refunds will only be given in the event of race cancellation. No refunds will be given to people who register but do not participate.
