Deputy Dennis P. Sampson 5K Walk/Run

Please come and support the Dennis P. Sampson Community Run/Walk 5K on Heritage Day - Sunday, September 18, 2022 at the Poland Spring Inn.

This race is in honor of Poland Deputy Dennis P. Sampson, who unexpectedly passed away on May 5, 2018. Deputy Sampson not only patrolled our town, but was also a long-time resident and he took much pride in his community. He touched many lives in Poland and the surrounding towns and his presence is greatly missed. He left behind his wife, Celeste, son Jeremy, many family members, friends, and colleagues. Dennis spent a lot of time in our schools and helped many of the students, staff and families of RSU 16.

Funds raised will go to first responders, medical field, and/or counseling field.

Sunday, September 18, 2022 at 8:30 a.m. with day of race registration opening at 7:00 a.m. The race is located at Poland Spring Resort, 640 Maine St, Poland Springs, ME

Prizes

Unique prizes are awarded to top male, female, non-binary and prefer not to answer age groups.

Entry Fee

Pre Registration on or before September 18 - Adult (18+) - $20.00; Student/Children (6 -17 years old) - $10.00; Children (6 and under) - Free. There will be a $2.75 processing fee per runner added at check out.
Day of Race Registration starts at 7:00 a.m. - Adult (18+) - $25.00; Student/Children (6 - 17 old) - $15.00 (cash or check)

T-Shirts

Yellow T-Shirts will be for sale on the day of race for $25.00

Packet Pick-up

Packet pick up will be Friday, September 16, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Poland Spring Resort and Saturday, September 17 9:00 -3:00 p.m. at Poland Spring Heritage Days.

Race Policy

If race is canceled due to extreme weather conditions, there will be no make-up date and no refunds.
