5K Run 9:30 a.m. (all ages)
1 mile race for runners ages 12 and under 9:00 a.m.
Kid's Fun Run for runners ages 8 and under 8:30 a.m.
Award Ceremony at 10:15 a.m.

The Cape Challenge 5k, sponsored by Mary Libby Living and many other local businesses, is a signature community event in Cape Elizabeth. Proceeds from this race event will directly benefit the Cape Elizabeth Pond Cove, Middle School & High School Parents' Associations. After the race there will be an Awards Ceremony.

1 mile Race
Top Male & Female Overall winners. 1st and 2nd place Male and Female in the following age groups. Overall winners are not eligible for age group awards.

6 and under

5K Race
Top Male & Female Overall winners. 1st and 2nd place Male and Female in the following age groups. Overall winners are not eligible for age group awards.

Entry Fee

Preregistration - 1 mile $15.00 and the 5K $25.00 before Wednesday, May 14. There will be a $2.75 processing fee per runner added at check out. If you are registering for a race and want to purchase a T-shirt too, please select a purchase option that includes a T-Shirt. Using these purchase options, you will be charged only one $2.75 processing fee.
Day of race registration 7:30 - 8:30 a.m . - 1 mile $25.00 and 5K $35.00
Kid's Fun Run - no registration is required.

T-Shirt Only Order

T-shirts are available for $20.00 each plus a $2.75 processing fee. T-shirts will be available for purchase on race weekend, however, sizes and quantities may be limited. Online T-shirt order closes April 28th.

Race Policy

If race is canceled due to extreme weather conditions, there will be no make-up date and no refunds.

Packet Pickup

Race Numbers will be available for early pick-up on Saturday, May 17th from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the Pond Cove / Cape Elizabeth Middle School Cafetorium (12 Scott Dyer Road, Cape Elizabeth, ME 04107) OR race day from 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.
